“As I stated, I was required to punch you. I hold no grudge or anything of that sort against you!” As stir crazy as he was getting, this wasn’t the way he wanted to begin sparring with someone.
“And what in Konpira-san’s name required ya’ ta’ do such a thing?!” You could say he’s still a bit miffed from being punched so suddenly. If he were more aware or had some kind of forewarning, he would have let it slide by now.
He honestly wasn't so sure what sort of disclaimer to make when punching this guy. "Chosokabe-dono, I am required to punch you!" And then he did.
He may have been built like a friggin’ wall, but he sure as hell felt that tiger brat’s might as he was unexpectedly punched in the arm. Now he’s gotta console that specific spot with some rubs of his palm.
“To be honest, I’m not really sure. I kinda like Bard though.. even though hes like an adult and I’m a kid.” Gives a small shrugs before continuing, “You just remind me of him because you kind of act like him.”
“Well, knowin’ ole’ Arcadios, m'sure this friend of yours is probaby runnin’ around here somewhere.”
“You try lookin’ for him yet?” He asks with a bit of interest. If he reminds this kid of the guy, he must be one interesting fellow.
Well at least the man knew what manners were, for the most part. Ciel decided that since this man wasn’t hostile, that he could indulge in a conversation with him for a bit longer. Mostly because he didn’t like having nothing to do, and partially because company was always better than having no company.
His face softened up and a smile lifted his lips, forming an expression one should always make when introducing yourself—or so he was taught once upon a time.
“Chousokabe, yes? I am Ciel Phantomhive, it is a pleasure to meet you.” Pet names were also nothing new, though Ciel never liked receiving them. Yes, their relationship would definitely be interesting.
“Aye, but y'can just call me Motochika if you’d like.” Formality was appreciated–however, considering his occupation, it’d been something he saw no reason to follow.
“Quite a pleasure t'meet you as well… Ciel Phantomhive." he repeated the name, in hopes of pronouncing it correctly. "That’s some name y'got there. Anything else you’d prefer to be called?” Although his given name was an interesting one, it would make it easier for him to actually address this kid.
Lass? It felt like so long since Diva was treated so nicely, especially by such a stranger. There wasn’t much for her to worry about here and with someone like Motochika arond, she hardly doubted she needed to fight for a good while.
“Have you been here long enough? I just want to go exploring, it’s not fun just having to sit around all day,” She sighs and pulls her hand back, looking around a bit before turning her gaze back to him. “But if I’ve got something to look out for, like monsters or something, tell me. I haven’t had much time to play since I got here.”
“I’ve…” He trails off in thought. To be quite honest, he wasn’t sure how long he had actually been here. Recently, he was struck with a bad case of deja vu, but it was only up until now that he was actually concerned. “I’ve been here for a while,” he finally continued. That seemed to be a decent answer at least.
“Monsters…? I did overhear there were some dangerous buggers runnin’ around, so y'might have to keep your eyes and ears peeled.” Motochika wasn’t too informed with all this Arcadios business, however, he did try to keep up with some of it. He might as well, right? Seeing as there was no way he’d be returning home anytime soon.
“Though I doubt it’s anythin’ to worry about, seein’ as ya’ got me to protect you!” Quite the cocky response.
