Thanks to that two-faced girl with the creepy pigtails, he had at least known quite a handful of people here, who was……far from normal.
Looks like this guy wasn’t an exception. But that of course, just made him more interesting.
” Yo. The name’s Dante, what’s yours?”
Despite his time here, he wasn’t one to go out and wander about as much as the rest. Even if he enjoyed exploring new environments, he assumed these bumpkins beat him to it. For now, he’d park it comfortably under the wing he was assigned. If he needed to, he’d leave, but that chance had yet to come up.
Unfortunately, those that lived under the same wing had been a small amount, and he was sort of surprised to see a new face.
“Yo there.” The casual greeting and a wave of his hand. This lad seemed different, but he wasn’t one to judge a book by its cover. “Name’s Motochika, Chousokabe Motochika. Ya’ new here?”
“Yare yare… I look after the young master Sanada, yes. You’re the demon pirate, huh?”
“The one and only, o’ course! It kind of makes me happy t'see all these familiar faces from our own time. You’ll be happy t'know your master made it here as well.”
Uwah. ~ That’s so cool—! What’s it like being a pirate? Is it cool? How long are travels on boat? Do you have one? Can I come? Oh, wait, are there women there? Or at least adult magazines, or encyclopedias? Oh! Do you have a parrot?
The boy’s cheeks flushed. “Awh shucks.. I’m not that special, Pirate-san! There are better reasons to join! Like learning how to play different games that aren’t from your world ~ That’s more fun, ne? “
A soft huff. “Oh yeah? We’ll see! If you manage to beat me I’ll make you cookies or something, kay?”
A chuckle. “Fine, fine. You’re right. That does sound like it’d be a lot of fun. The games from my "world” weren’t all that interesting.“
Ah, he loved a challenge. "Cookies, eh? It’s a deal. And if you win, I’ll give ya’ all the piggy back rides ya’ want for a week.”
Isabela was brought out of her pondering state by a man’s voice, obviously addressed towards her since he repeated what she’d said.
She noticed his manner of speak immediately. It reminded her of the way her husband spoke. The ‘pirate speak’, although she didn’t use it herself, she was quite used to it.
“A fellow pirate? Indeed she did. I’m Isabela, Captain Isabela, at your service.” She winked and extended a hand towards the man. “And who might you be?”
The woman’s answer clarified his assumption and he was happy to take the hand which she offered into his own.
“Captain Isabela, eh? It’s nice to meetcha’.” A smile. He gave the woman’s hand a firm shake. “The name’s Chousokabe Motochika, but amongst my followers, Aniki or Captain.” He had many names and Captain was definitely one of them.
“So, where are ya’ from, Isabela? Sophia has a knack at pullin’ bumpkins from odd places. I’d love to hear where she nabbed you from.”
