“Ah—” Ieyasu held back a grumble as the other pinched his cheek, as if he were a child again. He couldn’t help the mildly baleful look that crossed his face. He then furrowed his brows, confused at Motochika’s question.
“Want? What do you mean by—”
“Oh! You mean, why I tackled you! It’s…nothing, really”, he began, and looked away. “I just had to greet you, is all.”
For now, he would not acknowledge the other “dare” he had received. That sort of thing couldn’t be asked for out of the blue.
His hand ceased with the pinching of his friend’s cheek and withdrew, an expression of confusion also blanketing his face. Ieyasu was acting a bit strange and it caused him to tilt his head as the other looked away.
“Just a greeting…?”
“Y'never greeted me like that before… at least I can only recall you doin’ that when you were a little squirt.” Ieyasu was nothing like he use to be when he was younger. The kid matured tenfold and he was proud of him for that.
“Or are you just that happy t'see me~?” He teased.
