Ever since he’d come down to the Central District with Minako the other day, Ieyasu had been curious about the bathhouse. Even from the outside, it looked different from his own conceptions about what bathhouses looked like—he had no doubt that the inside, too, would be similarly fascinating. To think that even bathing could be different! Ieyasu could not settle until his curiosity was satisfied. That was how he found himself inside the very spacious enclosure, and admiring the pillars that surrounded the wide pool of water that dominated the scenery.
“It does look like a great place to relax, if a little grand”, he pondered, and made his way to the enclave where one bathed themselves before entering the pool.
It’d been like this for days now, perhaps months, who knew? But if there was one thing Motochika knew, it was that this place, this supposed paradise, was boring as hell. Dully, the pirate stared from his seat within the House of Strength’s living chamber, watching as the bumpkins who lived under the same roof as he did passed by. Honestly, there was nothing for him to do around here, at least something he enjoyed. A sigh left his lips, Motochika had just about enough of sitting around this place, and he stood up, making his exit.
He needed something to relieve himself of this boredom and he figured strolling the Central District would do the trick. It was still packed as ever when he arrived and it seemed to have more buildings than it did before. Carefully weaving through the clusters of people, Motochika managed to make it to very middle of the district, in which his eye caught glimpse of a rather large roof. By the structures outside, it seemed interesting enough, and he found himself entering the accommodation.
Aan..? What was this? It was some sort of bathhouse, eh? He supposed this would do. There was nothing more relaxing than a nice, hot bath–and since it appeared to be empty, it made it all the more relaxing! Hurriedly, Motochika located a spot to put his things as he disposed of them, nabbed a towel from a pile near by, but just as he was about find himself a place to sit, he caught something else in the corner of his eye. Not only was it something, but someone, and by the looks of it… they seemed awfully familiar, with a head of spiky, brown locks. Was… that who he thought it was? “Oi, Ieyasu…!” he called out. “Is that you?”
1. Don’t be shy! A lot of people on Tumblr are and can be intimidated by RPing style or even character. Loosen up and have fun; you’re not the only one out there who can be a bit embarrassed or socially awkward. Us mods even get that way at times.
2. Respond to as many open posts as possible. This is directed with the previous statement as some people don’t reblog because of intimidation. Those who do open posts obviously want responses. If they don’t get it, it is incredibly discouraging and can quite possibly kill off muses. Please, if you care about your fellow SL mates, help them feel good and respond even if it’s a small post!
3. If open RPs don’t work too well for you, it’d be in your best interest to message people you want to interact with. The point of Meme Monday is to find out who else wishes to do the same along with other reasons, and sometimes, messaging is the best way to go about things. It lets the other know you’re interested enough to contact them, and you can discuss specific RPs. Once again, don’t be shy!
4. Don’t drop threads! Everyone knows that there’s a point when there’s not much else that can be said in a RP, but they usually get dropped early on in the boring introduction phase. We try to come up with interesting scenarios from events or otherwise to prevent this, so make use of it. If you don’t get a response in time, send the person you’re RPing with a message containing the reply. Tumblr likes to eat messages often, so don’t feel bad sending multiples. Just remember that you have to format it like you would an application link to the mods.
5. Set challenges for yourself. Examples would be, “do 3 new RPs this week that are with completely new people” or “make use of a certain part of Arcadios”. If you can make it to the limits you make, not only will you please yourself, but others as well.
Once again, we would like to re-state this for emphasis. Open posts are made to meet new and old people alike and are going to be the biggest chunk of Zodiakos. It’s not possible to have every single one responded to, better yet have one person trying to respond to them all by themselves. Consider how you would feel if you did an open post that gets no responses when you see another on the dash.
You’d be surprised at how it could make someone’s day a bit better.
Reblogging this because some people are having problems with open posts once again.
We know it’s Meme Monday and OOC can’t be stopped, but don’t make it to the point that open posts and replies get pushed to the other page in minutes. This includes the constant messages.
Everyone can continue having fun; let’s just not exclude the others in the process.
