Sora physically slouched his shoulders at having to trade off giving a nickname and receiving one in return, thinking it over for a second before making a decision. “But- ‘Sora’ isn’t very hard to remember or pronounce, you know!” Of course, he chose to be stubborn.
“A real captain, huh? Sounds like a real adventure!” He would sign up for that in a heartbeat, having already had an adventure with ~Captain Jack Sparrow~. ”I wouldn’t mind being one again at all! So long as you’re the good kind of pirate. I won’t settle for people who mindlessly hurt others just for some treasure! You aren’t like that, are you?”
“Well, where I’m from, kiddo, ‘Motochika’ ain’t all that hard t'say either.” He flashed one of his cocky, shark-bite smiles, purposely poking fun at the boy.
“Aye, a real captain. And one of the bests out there, too!” It was evident that this kid had a keen interest in becoming a pirate. The idea of recruiting the little fella to his crew came to mind, but when Sora questioned him, he let out a small chuckle. “When I have my eye set on something I want, something I see as valuable, I’ll bring down anyone in my path. That is the way of a pirate, savvy?”
“But…” He continued. “If someone is obviously innocent, it ain’t my style to hurt 'em. I’d rather be a thief, than a murderer.”
“Motochika.” Chousokabe Motochika. That name was way too long! “How about I call you Moto for short?” he smiled, probably bound to call the other that regardless if he refused.
“A-ha! I knew it! Do you have a ship and sail for treasure? I was a pirate once, too, you know.” he made a fist before smacking it against his chest like a real man would.
“Moto, eh? I don’t see why not.” It was a rather customary nickname. “But if yer’ gonna get away with callin’ me Moto, I’m sure you won’t mind me callin’ ya’ kiddo?” Addressing those younger than he was as such was a force of habit.
“You’re damn right I do! Not only do I have a ship and hunt for treasure, I’m captain of one of the best crews out there.” When the kid mentioned he was also a pirate once, his curiosity peaked. “Were ya’ now? Ain’t that interestin’. Would ya’ ever consider bein’ a pirate again?”
“Um well the Inousha ranch is where they detain all the Inousha’s. Just…because we have powers that no one else has.”
“They would capture Inousha’s and take them to the ranch. Then they would test our powers to see if they either draft us to war, or use our powers to supply energy for war machines…”
Now, didn’t this seem like an overall touchy subject? Maybe he was being a little nosy. However, there was still a chance to turn things around.
“So y'got powers, do ya’? And what kind of powers could a little hero such as yourself have?”
